Better Late Than Never

I like to listen to radioshows where people can play their favourite music. In Holland there is a program called Cantina. Here I heard for the first time a song of Einstürzende Neubauten(EN). This song was called Silence is Sexy. I really liked that song. So I started buying their records. First I bought a collection record, but that wasn’t a big succes. Then I bought Perpetuum mobile which I really liked. Later on I ordered through the internet Silence is sexy. Those are two are the last regular records. Then I went to the beginning of their career. I bought Halber mensch, Kollaps and Haus der Luege. Especially Kollaps is hard to swallow. So I only play it when I am really in the mood for it.

It’s strange. I knew Blixa Bargeld already for quite a while. He played with Nick Cave. And i know Nick Cave for quite some time now. And I also heard of EN, but I never listened to them before. Probaly because of the labels attached to their music: industrial, experimental and noise. I never thought I would like that. Nowadays I can’t say I don’t like a certain style, because I believe in every style I can find a cd I like.
